A force in audio innovation since its founding in 1964, Bose remains one of the most admired brands in the world.

BOSE AUTOMOTIVE

The site’s the thing.

Despite being the leader in premium car audio, Bose Automotive lived in the shadow of its ubiquitous big brother: Retail. But as markets changed and the mobility space matured, it became clear that it was time for Automotive to better define itself for automakers and consumers. The solution was a comprehensive rebranding, engaging social content, real-time event coverage, truly interesting explainer videos, and an easy-to-use website at the heart of it all.

  • Art Direction

Unlike other consumer electronics companies, Bose Automotive doesn’t have a product line, per se. Instead, it has an array of proprietary technologies it designs and deploys in concert with car manufacturers. Manufacturers want to see Bose promoting their profitable higher-end packages many of which include Bose audio.

Car buyers, on the other hand, decide on car options late in the process. Perhaps even while they're on the lot. Knowing this, we made it easy for consumers to understand and get excited about options with Bose audio, especially when using a mobile device.

Approach

High-fidelity wireframe pages were made for every type of page.  These were in turn turned into a fully functional wireframe site for the team and client to use. This rapid prototyping allowed us to make sure users’ needs were being met and to spot any blind alleys or pointless loops in the site experience.

EXPLAINER VIDEOS

Complexity made
compelling.

Engaging explainer videos are used throughout the site to educate and evangelize consumers and manufacturers alike.

Parlez vous, everything?

Mais oui, señor. The site serves as the global hub for markets around the world. Content is translated into nine languages and content varies depending on product offerings and cultural sensibility.

Social comes standard.

Hell yes, CES.

Every January (barring a global pandemic) Bose joins other manufacturers in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show for presentations of the newest products and technologies.

“It’s easy to see why CES matters more to automakers. The line between automotive and consumer tech gets blurrier every day, whether it's tech companies outside of automotive dipping their toes into cars or automakers’ content to find the most unique applications for their future vehicles.”
