When Massey Knakal was purchased by Cushman and Wakefield we were invited to pitch the whole Cushman account. After besting incumbent and international powerhouse Saatchi, then Cushman CMO Michael Daley confessed we had been invited to pitch only as a courtesy to Massey Knakal’s marketing team; which had been absorbed in the merger weeks prior. He went on to say that he walked into our presentation expecting to dismiss us with a polite pat on the head to send us on our way. Needless to say, we won the business. And some six years later, the account remains with the agency.
